Shipping policy

Thank you for supporting NZ Artisan and the talented creators within our community! We are committed to ensuring your handcrafted treasures arrive safely and in a timely manner. Please read our shipping policy carefully.

Processing Time:

  • Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to be processed and prepared for shipment. This timeframe may be longer for particularly intricate or personalised items. Specific processing times, if longer, will be noted on the individual product page.
  • We will notify you via email once your order has shipped.

Shipping within New Zealand:

  • We offer reliable shipping throughout New Zealand using NZ Post, CourierPost, Aramex, Post Haste.
  • Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and dimensions of your order and your delivery location. You will see the exact shipping cost at checkout before you finalise your purchase.
  • We aim for delivery within 1-3 business days from the date of shipment to most North Island addresses and 2-5 business days to most South Island addresses. Rural deliveries may take an additional 1-2 business days.
  • Please ensure your shipping address is accurate and complete. We are not responsible for delays or misdeliveries caused by incorrect address information.

International Shipping:

  • We are delighted to offer international shipping to select countries. Please see the list of countries available at checkout.
  • International shipping costs are calculated based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your order. These costs will be displayed at checkout.  
  • Delivery times for international orders vary significantly depending on the destination and customs procedures. Estimated delivery times will be provided at checkout, but please note these are estimates and not guarantees.
  • Important Note for International Customers: You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees levied by your country's customs authorities. These charges are not included in our shipping fees and are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Please check with your local customs office for information on potential charges.

Shipping Options:

  • Currently, we offer standard shipping for any orders under $50. Free shipping for orders over $50. 

Packaging:

  • We take great care in packaging your items to ensure they are well-protected during transit. We use recycled cardboard, bubble wrap, eco-friendly options whenever possible.

Tracking Your Order:

  • Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email containing a tracking number and a link to the courier's website, where you can monitor the progress of your delivery.

Lost or Damaged Items:

  • In the unlikely event that your order is lost or arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date (for lost items) or within 48 hours of receiving the damaged item. Please provide photos of any damage to the packaging and the item itself.
  • We will work with you and the shipping provider to resolve the issue, which may include a replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances and product availability.

Returns Due to Shipping Issues:

  • If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for the additional shipping costs to resend the order.
